Nick and Louise wed on the last weekend in November on what was a beautiful, but cool, winters day. When I arrived at Louise's family home in South West London, she and her bridesmaids were well underway with their bridal preparations.
We soon all headed towards Farm Street Church in Mayfair. Nick was there waiting with his groomsmen and busy greeting guests as they arrived. He looked dashing in his tie covered in flamingos - what became the couples symbol!
The church itself was deceptive. Quaint on the outside and stunningly spacious on the inside. The room allowed me to move between the front and the rear easily.
After the service, everyone headed outside for a saber arch. This is where Nick's military colleagues presented an arch of their swords (and one umbrella!). Once they were allowed under after a quick kiss, they proceeded through to a line of bubbles. Such fun!
Louise, Nick and myself spent a little time in the gardens to the rear of the church followed by a quick walk through Parliament Square before arriving at One George Street for their reception/ wedding breakfast.
The reception was the perfect mixture of elegance (the venue, the dresses, the beautiful arrangements), tradition (the speeches, cutting of the cake with a sword!), and fun (flamingo tattoos and wild dancing!). Everyone had a great time and I loved being their London wedding photographer.
