GET IN TOUCH
Where to start? From the moment that I met Kath and Jenna over Skype (as I was still living in London), I knew we’d be a great match.
The day started at Jeffrey Street Wharf for some photographs. What a gorgeous location – just under the harbour bridge yet away from the crowds. It was really nice to have this time before the ceremony. It helped to calm their nervous (well, before they could see the boat arriving with their guests!).
The ceremony was aboard Sydney MV and as it arrived, I could see the excitement in not only Jenna and Kath’s faces, but of those of their family and friends (peering out the ships windows!). We cruised along Sydney Harbour for a while before arriving at Milson’s Point Wharf, right near Luna Park and North Sydney Olympic Pool.
As their guests made their way up to Aqua Dining, where the reception was, Kath, Jenna and myself went for a walk along the wharf. The moody skies and wind made for some pretty pictures!
The reception was wonderful – long tables, pretty flowers and great music. Something that I won’t forget are the speeches. In my profession I hear a lot and they were great ones. Everyone hit the dance floor until it was time to move on – an impromptu visit to The Deck Bar at Luna Park. It was really nice to put my camera away and join in to celebrate. I went as a photographer and left as a friend.
