When the sister of a dear friend of mine got in touch with regards to her wedding, I was super excited. I knew her wedding would be an incredible one and it sure was.
Hollie and Chris got ready at Sopwell House in Hertfordshire where their reception was also held. Surrounded by her mum, sister and adorable niece, Hollie prepared for her day.
Chris and Hollie opted to have a first look. These are a really lovely idea where the bride and groom see each other for the first time prior to the ceremony and usually alone (well, with me too!). Unfortunately the weather wasn’t too kind so we stayed indoors for a few images before Chris ran off to head to the ceremony by bus with their guests.
The ceremony was at St George Coptic Cathedral, a large Coptic Orthodox church. Being the end of January I expected it to be cold but never thought it would be snowing at Hollie arrived the church!
Afterwards, everyone headed back to Sopwell House to start the celebrations… and what a celebration it was! There were hilarious and touching speeches, loads of laughter to be heard and a packed dance floor. One of my favourite parts of the day was capturing Hollie and her niece Maia dancing the night away together.
