GET IN TOUCH
If you love rainbows, glitz and glamour then you’re going to go nuts over this wedding!
Louise and Tiffanie got married at the gorgeous Merribee House, South Coast NSW. It was a brilliant same-sex wedding, with strings of rainbows hanging from the ceiling and a drinks cart to keep guests entertained.. not to mention a life-size Madonna, a larger than life glitter unicorn head, a dance mob and a dance floor “fan-off.”
PREPARATIONS
Lou and Tiff chose to get ready together on the morning of their wedding but when it came to getting their outfits on, they did so separately. They then had a little first look which was so beautiful to witness. Laughter, tears… such a whirlwind of emotions. Soon enough though, it was time for “shit to get real.”
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony took place under a rainbow arbor, which was decorated with the most colourful flowers. Both brides walked down the aisle with their mothers by their sides, one after the other. The ceremony was very personal, both gave their own vows. After their vows, they had a Celtic knot ceremony which was really moving and tied in Lou’s Irish heritage.
After the ceremony, family and friends mingled in the cottage with the champagne flowing. The lavender that lines the cottage wasn’t in full bloom but I can still remember the smell of the roses floating through the air.Β
THE RECEPTION
The reception was held in a rustic barn on the same property. The venue is perfect for weddings because you can have the place for the whole weekend as it offers accommodation as well as the most beautifully manicured gardens.
After the canapΓ©s, guests were then called for dinner, which was an absolute feast – shared style β and as I was lucky enough to enjoy it too, I can honestly say it was delicious!
I’ve seen/ heard my fair share of speeches over the last few years but Lou and Tiff’s really were tear jerkers, but mainly due to laughing so hard. I’m pretty sure I added a few more laughter lines that night!
THE EVENING
After the speeches, Lou and Tiff cut the cake and then the party really kicked off. The DJ started and out came Lou, with a pink-wigged flash mob, much to Tiff’s surprise! It was hilariously amazing and I wish every wedding had one π
The evening ended with a fan battle and a life-size cut out of Madonna on the dance floor. Β The wedding was so much fun, from bridal prep to the last dance.
