James & Nadia | Wimbledon Rugby Club, London

When I arrived at Nadia’s parents house (a few minutes walk from my own!), the contrast between the girls and guys was hard to miss! Nadia, her bridesmaids and mother were busily getting ready – hair and make up had been going on for hours! The guys, Nadia’s dad and brother were reading books and taking a nap respectively!

The buzz of bridal preparation with a group of close friends is a lovely thing. So much laughter, excitement and a little bit of stress but they always get there in the end.

A little before Nadia was ready, I made the short walk to their church, Christ Church New Malden where I found James and his groomsmen ushering guests to their seats.

Soon enough Nadia was walking down the isle accompanied by her dad to where her groom was eagerly waiting. The ceremony was beautiful and I just loved the emotions Nadia and James expressed towards each other… especially when James cheered for joy after they sealed their nuptials with a kiss!

We had a few group photographs afterwards in the church gardens before a confetti tunnel was organised. Now, and this is not a title I give lightly, but their confetti has got to be my favourite one to date! They had so much fun with it but what really made it was grandma who went straight for Nadia’s cleavage and poured the contents of her cone down it!!! Its moments like these that I really enjoy capturing. The little ones that go past in a second but really make up the day.

Next we headed to Cannizaro Park with the bridal party for some group shots. We also took a few bridal portraits here as the park was particularly important – its where James proposed!!

The reception/ wedding breakfast was held at Wimbledon Rugby Club. It was decorated beautifully. The catering was beyond amazing. James’s company, Up In My Grill, catered and – wow, just wow! I’m haven’t eaten red meat for years but after James brought me a plate, I gave it a try and it was seriously delicious. Highly recommended for any catered event.

Their speeches were so heart felt. Its a wonderful thing as a photographer when you can really feel and photograph the connection between two people.

Take a look below at their day.
