GET IN TOUCH
When John and Sally’s day arrived I couldn’t have been happier – the sun was shining and the skies were blue – perfect for a beach reception!
I arrived at their shared apartment to where Sally and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The vibe was very relaxed with a bit of music in the background, and the bridesmaids spending some time writing their speech whilst Sally got her finishing touches of hair and make up.
I had already been told that Sally would love a photograph with her cat, Nelson but he was feeling a little shy that morning and had gone for a walk for some alone time! Thankfully he was found just in time for a few quick photographs but not before all the ladies were walking the street jingling keys to find him!
Soon enough the ladies were in their dresses and off we headed to St Mary’s House in Bramber, where John and Sally were to wed. John was there with their guests and before long, Sally walked down the isle with her father. The ceremony was fun, lots of laughter!
St Mary’s House in Bramber is a 15 century timber framed home with the prettiest of gardens. Its open to the public and well worth a visit! We had a few moments to walk off and explore the gardens which made for such a pretty backdrop.
After a few celebratory drinks at St Mary’s, Sally, John and their guests made their way to one of my favourite locations, Perch on Lancing Beach. For anyone who hasn’t been, their breakfasts are amazing and the view is spectacular. We made use of the view when we stepped out during sunset for a few quick portraits. Stunning.
The most memorable part of Sally and Johns wedding for me, were the speeches. Laughter here, there and everywhere! The party continued well into the night with a confetti canon going off during the first dance and sparklers at the end. Such a fabulous day… just take a look below!
This is one thing I am super excited about with relocating and being a wedding photographer in Sydney – beach weddings!
