Kangaroo Valley Bush Wedding at Wildwood

Matt and Alice decided to get ready in cabins next to each other at Holiday Haven Kangaroo Valley which made for such a fun atmosphere – I was literally running from one cabin to the other so I didn’t miss anything!

Just before it was time for Alice and the ladies to put their dresses on, we relocated to the beautiful, purpose built dressing room at Wildwood. This meant that Alice could watch her guests arrive as well as see her hubby to be greet them all.

The day was very.. I mean VERY windy but the skies cleared and the winds broke perfectly for the ceremony. Matt is known for always wearing his akubra so it was only fitting that he wore it for the day.

After the ceremony, Alice, Matt and myself took a short drive over to Kangaroo River for a few snaps. There were so many pine branches and other snagging little bits on the floor but Alice just took them all in her stride.

When we got back to Wildwood, the winds had really set in. We made use of one of the sheds on the property for some bridal party shots before heading back inside.

Matt and Alice continually said that they weren’t big dancers so I wasn’t expecting the dance floor to be too crazy but sure enough, everyone was out there, including the new husband and wife! What was extra crazy is that we could see some of the outside furniture literally fly away as people danced the night away!

All in all it was such an incredible day. I’m so blessed to be able to spend my days with awesome people.

**Although it’s devastating to see 80% of the surrounding areas of Kangaroo Valley have burnt in the recent bush fires, Kangaroo Vallery is still a stunning place for you to hold your wedding or just to visit for the weekend. **
