If you’re planning a wedding at Long Reef Golf Club, on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, you’ll love this wedding for inspiration.
As you all know, I love weddings but this one was extra special as Catherine is a good friend of mine from High School. When she told me she was engaged, I was absolutely stoked. She and Adam had been together for years and I knew it was bound to happen sooner or later! I was then shocked and overjoyed that I was able to photograph their wedding and my oh my, what a day.
Long Reef Golf Club, which is a gorgeous venue in on Sydney’s Northern Beaches has a lovely little spot looking over the beach for your ceremony, the gold course for photographs and a great room with delicious food for the ceremony. It was one of the most fun weddings I’ve shot and it was so nice to see one of my good friends from school get married to her soulmate!
Catherine and Adam were married in the parkland next to the club, underneath a flower-covered arbour and overlooking the ocean. Everyone was in awe of Catherine as she walked down the aisle in a gorgeous navy gown from White Runway but one of my favourite parts of the wedding was when Adam gave Catherine’s daughter a gorgeous Tiffany’s bracelet, which I know will be cherished forever. It was an extremely moving moment. I am also a sucker for confetti (if doing this, make sure you check with your venue/ location as to what types are permitted).
After the ceremony we took a few family group photographs before heading in a few of the gold buggies up the golf course. SO MUCH FUN! Highly recommended if you have some within access! We didn’t spend much time away as a storm was rolling in but had plenty of time for some gorgeous photographs of Catherine, Adam and their new family.
Long Reef Golf Club is perfect for anyone who loves the seaside, and is one of the best places to get married on Sydney’s Northern Beaches. The venue offers amazing food, the beach a few steps away and numerous spaces depending on if you want to dance, eat, look at the view etc. Their first dance was with everyone else joining in on the dance floor – something different but really special. They finished off the evening with everyone on the dance floor… including myself….. Â before driving off together.
