When Toby and Megan reached out, I was super excited to be back in Dural and Kenthurst, where I grew up. It wasn’t until a month out from their September wedding that I found out that Toby grew up opposite me, on the same street! What a small, small world!
Megan and Toby started dating whilst still in high school however, they also went to primary school together (see the photograph below from their school picture where they’re next to each other!).
On the morning of their wedding, I started with Megan, her bridesmaids and her family. There was such a buzz in the air!
When all the ladies were ready, we all scooted off to the De La Salle Chapel at Oakhill College in Castle Hill. It was so much bigger inside than I imagined and I loved the huge circular stained glass window. Once the ceremony ended, Toby and Megan were showered with confetti (one of my favourite parts of the day!).
It was a blazing hot day and the sun was in full force but we managed to get some beautiful portraits at Castle Hill Heritage Park. We went for a little walk and had a whole bunch of fun with their bridal party.
The reception was held at Biviano’s in Dural. It’s a beautiful modern venue with a large marquee. Just as the sun was setting, I grabbed Megan and Toby and dragged them through some long grass in a nearby field. The sunset was so beautiful.
The rest of the evening was amazing. Both their family and friends, who had watched them grow up together and fall in love, were there to congratulate and party with them!
What a great day.
