On a stunning, blue skied day in June, at The Great House Sonning on the Berkshire/ Oxforshire border, Nicola was busily getting ready with her sister, mum and soon-to-be step-daughter whilst Steve was preparing for the day with his groomsmen. I spent the morning with Nicola, who was very calm and my second shooter, Carl was with Steve.
When the ladies were ready, I headed downstairs to where the room was prepared for their ceremony to find the harpist playing and Steve and his groomsmen waiting at the end. Before long, Steve’s little girl was walking down and met him with the biggest grin, followed by Nicola linking arms with her dad. The ceremony was touching – smiles, laughter and tears – and that was just from me!
The rest of the day was one big celebration for both young and old. The lawns of The Great House Sonning were transformed into a playground. There was mini golf, egg races, giant jenga and backyard tennis. The egg races and tennis got quite competitive! Its moments like these that I love photographing. Each wedding is so different from the next. Take a peek at this one….
