Sydney City Wedding

January 18, 2020

Yay… my first time photographing a Sydney wedding since being back in Australia! This was from back in June – yes I’m a little behind on my blogging 😉

Anika got ready at World Towers in World Square. There was so much fun and laughter in the room and I loved that her sister did her make up. When the ladies were ready, we made our way to their ceremony venue – the historic The Mint. The Mint which is now part of Sydney Living Museums, was a functioning hospital for convicts from 1816 (which is insanely old for Aussie standards!). The ceremony was beautiful and I loved watching Anika and she and her dad walked towards Nelson. When they had said their vows, Nelson and Anika headed back down the isle before their family and friends flooded them with congratulations.

We took a few family photographs and then headed off on a bit of a tour around Sydney CBD and Northern Beaches before arriving at Zest for their reception. We started at The Mint, headed to Hyde Park (where we were for a while whilst waiting for the bridal party to arrive with Maccas!) the on to Observatory Hill, Balmoral and Clontarf Beaches.

The reception was all about their families really coming together. The speeches were really heartfelt.

Before long it was time for the first dance. Just look at the pictures below – what a moment…. and then the party started!
